Beetroot love our kitchen garden, which is good job because we love them and grow all year round.
Every year we try new variety's from @realseeds along with tried and tested beetroot. We start sowing in February and continually sow until October in the poly tunnel. There easy to grow, just remember to water well when its dry or your beetroots will go woody.
You can eat the leafs when the plants are young and chef loves to pick the beetroot when there still quite small and full of flavour.
On the menu smoked over mugwort served with our black pudding, aromatic young herbs & flowers.
